Eugenie Brown

Biography
Minister Eugenie Brown was born in Saint Mary, Jamaica, to parents Alfred and Maud Dennis. She grew up in a Christian home and learned how to be God-fearing at an early age. She served in the church from childhood and became a choir member and a Sunday School Teacher. She migrated to England in the late 50s and accepted the Lord as her Saviour in September 1961. Eugenie became a member of The Church of God of Prophecy in 1966, where she served as Prayer Band Leader and Women’s Missionary Band Leader.
Eugenie Brown migrated to Canada, with her husband and children, in the early 70s. She was one of the founding members of The Church of God of Prophecy Brampton, later renamed North Park Worship Centre. Minister Brown was instrumental in establishing the foundations of many of the ministries at North Park. Over the years, she was Women’s Missionary Band Leader, Sunday School Superintendent, Seniors’ Ministry Leader and Evangelism Ministry Leader. She started the Seniors’ Choir as a way to showcase their talent and to contribute to the richness of the worship experience. Their inspiring performances have
had a lasting impact on the listening audience.
One of her ministry endeavours was a mission trip to Port-au-Prince, Haiti. As Missionary Director at West End Worship Centre, Minister Brown, along with a team member, was able to witness the impact of the church’s support of the work there. They visited the Overseer’s residence, the orphanage and school which they had helped establish with the International Office. It was rewarding for them to see how the results of their hard work and monetary support had improved lives. Their report was able to galvanize the West End Church to maintain its support of the work in Haiti. One cannot help but be influenced by Minister Brown’s genuine display of God’s love in action.
Minister Brown’s life-long commitment to being a servant of God has been exemplary. She knew she was called to serve and was set forth as a Lay Minister on January 22, 2001. Three years later, Eugenie Brown was ordained as a Licensed Minister on July 4th, 2004. Minister Eugenie Brown has a passion for Ministry, particularly winning the lost for Christ. She has truly embraced what it means to evangelize. Every opportunity she gets, she shares the good news of salvation and admonishes others to live out the Christian life. She is especially motivated to minister to others through prayer and exhortation. Her dedication for calling others to worship and encouraging them to grow in the knowledge of who God is, is unwavering. Her exuberance and excitement for Lord comes across in every interaction.
Eugenie Brown studied nursing at Seneca College and worked in the field for over 15 years. Additionally, she studied Fashion Design (Dress Making) at George Brown College. She was a devoted wife to Deacon Rupert Brown for forty-five years. She is the mother of six, grandmother of fifteen and great-grandmother of one.
Minister Eugenie Brown is grateful for God’s faithfulness to her and boldly declares, “To God be the glory, great things He has done.” Her favourite scripture is Joshua 24:15:
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; . . . but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” KJV
When not ministering, she enjoys reading, gardening and spending time with her family.
