Richardo Alexander

Biography
Ricardo Alexander grew up in Kingston, Jamaica. He was the second of two, born to his late mother, Jean Reid and father, Constantine Alexander. Ricardo was raised in a Christian atmosphere all his life, with his early foundation under the stewardship of his grandfather, Bishop Reneta Thomas. A month after graduating from Kingston College, Ricardo migrated to Canada to live with his father and stepmother, Doreen Alexander. Despite growing up in a Christian home, Ricardo had not given his life to Christ until December 2003, when he was baptized by Bishop Woodroe Thompson.
Ricardo studied Civil Engineering at Humber College for two years. In the following years, he held various positions where his leadership skills were recognized and was elevated to positions of responsibility. He became a Fashion Supervisor at Old Navy and a Supervisor at Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA). In 2012, Ricardo pursued a career in the transportation industry and is currently employed as a Transit Operator for Brampton Transit. It is there, he met his lovely wife, Cameil Carty-Alexander. Another great perk for working for Brampton Transit. Ricardo is the loving father of Ciara, Jaida and Zahari Alexander.
Ricardo was able to transition his skills from the marketplace and use them for God’s glory, serving in the NPWC’s Bus Ministry. Ricardo stepped in when the Transportation Ministry needed a full-time driver. His leadership and professional training have enhanced the effectiveness and range of services provided. He also volunteered as a bus driver on field trips for Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA).
In March 2019, Ricardo embarked on a 21-day fasting journey, where the Holy Spirit revealed to him that he should become a Deacon. He immediately answered the call and enrolled in the Ministry Development Training (MDT) program. On March 8, 2020, he was given the honor of being appointed Deacon.
Deacon Ricardo Alexander has a passion to serve. He is a dedicated and enthusiastic volunteer in other ministries. He helps and spends time with the seniors and visits individuals who are hospitalized. Deacon Alexander’s compassion for those in need led him, in collaboration with others, to spearhead a food drive during the COVID-19 pandemic. No matter how much he gives, Deacon Alexander feels that he has more to offer.
Deacon Ricardo Alexander has the heart of a true servant and avoids the limelight. He attributes his joy of serving to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
