Minister Alverine Dennis was born in Jamaica and migrated to Canada in her twenties. Two years after arriving in Canada, Alverine came to faith in Christ and began her Christian journey as a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Toronto, under the ministry of Bishop Aston R. Morrison and Pastor Eva Morrison. She was discipled through their ministry and developed a firm spiritual foundation, which has helped her to stand strong in her faith, regardless of life’s challenges.
Alverine Dennis responded to God’s call to serve in various areas of ministry and impacted the lives of many people. She served in the Youth Ministry, and Worship Team and was also the Assistant Leader of the Women’s Missionary Band. In the latter role, she organized prayer meetings, preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ, taught the Scriptures, visited individuals and their families, and participated in mission work. Additionally, Minister Dennis enrolled in courses at Bible Training Institute (BTI).
Minister Alverine Dennis was one of the early members of the Church of God of Prophecy in Bramalea, later known as North Park Worship Centre. There, her dedicated service to the Lord and His church endured. Alverine continued to be a dynamic Worship Leader, Youth Ministry Worker and a Sunday School Teacher. In further obedience to the call of God on her life, she pursued Ministerial Training. In May 2002, after completing the requirements, she received certification as a Licensed Minister with The Church of God of Prophecy. Minister Alverine Dennis currently serves faithfully in this role.

“I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.”
(Psalm 34: 1-3 KJV)
She is the mother of six children, the grandmother of twenty and great-grandmother of nine. When not walking and enjoying her natural surroundings, Minister Alverine Dennis might be found enjoying a good book or participating in exercise routines at the Brampton Seniors Club.
