Karen Marie Williams
Biography
Minister Williams is a Native of Kingston, Jamaica. At a tender age, she left Jamaica and came to Canada with her family. After completing high school, Karen worked for nine years with the Provincial Government, at the Workers Compensation Board. She got married in 1983 and later had three children, two daughters and a son. She resigned from the government to stay home to raise her children. While raising her children, she ran her own daycare. On re-entering the workforce, she gained employment at Sears Canada Inc., as a Customer Service Representative for seventeen years.
While working at Sears, she answered the call to ministry, enrolled in Metro Bible College through Florida Christian University and completed a two-year program. Karen graduated with a Leadership Certificate in the first year and a Ministerial Diploma with honours, in the second. Several months later, she was ordained in the Holiness Church and received her Certificate as a licenced Pastor.
Minister Williams was baptized in the Church of God of Prophecy in December 1997, at North Park Worship Centre and has been serving in many different ministries. Over the years, she has worked in the Children’s Ministry, Nursery, Missions and Hospitality. She was set forth as a Lay Minister in 2014, at North Park Worship Centre. She completed the requirements of the Foundations Course and received the Certificate of Completion on September 7, 2018. Minister Williams received her Minister’s Certificate in the Church of God of Prophecy on March 4, 2019 and is authorized to do all the work that may be assigned to her as a Minister of the Gospel.
She is currently employed at Kuehne and Nagel Ltd. Company as a Line Worker. She enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
